Re-Elect James Alberson to Renton City Council

As City Council President, I’ve worked hard to bring common-sense leadership and steady, thoughtful decision-making to Renton. My first term has been a time of listening, learning, and taking action—partnering with residents, community leaders, and city staff to address challenges and improve quality of life across our city. The insight and experience I’ve gained make me even more determined to serve with integrity and a focus on real results.
My priorities remain clear: accountability, safety, and opportunity. We must restore a strong sense of personal responsibility in how we govern and how we live. That means moving beyond a culture of excuse-making and taking real steps to ensure our neighborhoods are safe and welcoming. As public safety remains a core concern, we must take meaningful action to prevent and respond to issues in a fair, yet no-nonsense manner. Public safety is the foundation of a thriving community, and I will continue to support policies that protect both residents and first responders.
Creating opportunity for all is just as essential. That starts with inclusive economic growth—supporting small businesses, bringing quality jobs to Renton, preparing our workforce for the jobs of tomorrow, and ensuring access to education and skills training. Every person in Renton who wants to build a better life for themselves and their family should have a fair shot at success, no matter their background. When we invest in people, we strengthen families and build a more resilient city.
With your support, we can keep making progress. I believe in a Renton that works for everyone—a place where hard work is rewarded, voices are heard, and leadership is grounded in service and results, not politics. Together, we can continue building a stronger, more vibrant Renton that sets an example for cities across the region.
